Highway 9 Two major accidents tonight 5/10/14

There are two major accidents/crashes on Highway 9 tonight (5/10/14), I was personally just on Highway 9 and witnessed both of these in person.

There were 4 car crashes here near the beginning of Highway 9, my guess is the car going downhill lost control and caused the 3 cars going up to crash. 5 Ambulances were involved and some were injured. One car was flipped.

If you go up highway 9 and go straight past the stop intersection, there was another crash of a Mazda 3 and another car (not sure what car exactly...). Didn't get a picture of this one but 2 ambulances were involved and the Mazda 3 was completely totaled.

So two major crashes with injuries involved on highway 9 tonight, just a reminder to everyone here to drive safely.

Yea, I was heading up and had to turn around because of the accident. Don't think I'm gonna drive hwy 9 on Friday nights anymore... too many kids during that time.

Yikes! Hoping folks are OK. Between Hwy 9 and 17, we hear sirens and trauma copters almost daily, especially during spring and summer. It's a big reminder to stay safe out there. No matter how good a driver you may be, you never know about the other guy, and even the best can get caught up in the unexpected.

Wow and I was gonna drive Highway 9 last night too. I hope everyone is alright. Just a friendly reminder to leave the extremely adrenalized driving for the track!
