Right Hand Drive BRZ

Curious to know if there might be any of these in the US? Always thought a right hand drive car would be cool since I'm left handed.

There is nothing practical about RHD in the US. Drive-thru and tolls would be a pain in the ass.

Of course, if you are one of those people who loves anything JDM just because its JDM and you can say that you did something JDM to your car..

Good point there, but we don't have tolls around here, I hate drive thru's. And to be honest I'm just getting into the import game due to my...extended age...ya that works :). Don't really have a clue what JDM stands for. Don't laugh, you had to start somewhere too. Just curious is why I raised the question, my/the BRZ is sharp and a real head turner, imagine what a right hand drive car would do.

Just drive backwards through a drive-thru...like a boss! Ignore tolls!

Just kidding...don't do either of those. Stick with LHD.

I saw a RHD Integra Type R at a car meet recently, not gonna lie it was pretty awesome. But like everyone else has said, highly impratical in the States.

He could always get EZ pass (or the equivalent in his area).Wouldn't solve drive thrus though just order inside!

Oh please. It's not like this car is so wide you can't reach across.

Well, it's not a RHD in the US, but I've got the experience over here in the UK. I drive a USDM GBS Limited and I would guess the experience would be similar. It is a total PITA to use parking garages, drive thrus, and toll booths without a passenger. The WTF looks are pretty entertaining though. The hardest part is being blinded by lack of visibility of the oncoming traffic lane so I rarely take gambles on overtaking. However, I am happy as hell I brought my car to the UK. Some of the better maintained roads are an absolute blast even at or below posted speed limits.

The worst part about driving a car that's wrong for your area is when you get stuck behind a slow vehicle on a two-lane road. It's much more difficult to estimate when passing is safe.

Form > Function. I say swap it.

Raven 6 05-10-2014 09:20 PM

Can you swap sides? That would be cool.

Im surprised you would get WTFs. I would think LHD in the Uk is much more common than RHD in the US because they are pretty much the only country in Europe to drive RHD. People that drive over from France or Germany would be in the same position as you.

As surprising as it maybe there are not too many BRZs in the area that I live, and LHD to boot. I've seen one SWP BRZ in Lincoln and maybe 3 GT86s since I arrived in December. I may see a few more LHD vehicles when I head to Skegness, but they are not as common in central Lincolnshire.
