Subaru lowers interest rates..

For those of you who are interested, interest rates at Subaru Canada are now 0.9% or 1.9%. I've been shopping around for a bit, kinda on the fence about whether or not to take the plunge. At these rates my mind is made up. The BRZ is now less expensive over 5 years of payments than the FRS lease or buy :) I'm signing next week ;)

Wow that's a HUGE fucking pissoff for me.

:( Oh well

It's okay man my Golf GTI was 7.7% in 2007 and then soon after it was global financial collapse and interest rates fell like a rock. I don't feel so bad now with 4.9%. Wish I could have paid cash.

Actually should worry when everywhere is approaching 0% interest rate policy (inflation) but that's a topic for another forum. :D

7.7%? Why would anyone ever want to pay that.

It was 6.9% for the normal GTI and 7.7% for the orange one. Honda wanted 8.15% for the Civic Si. I didn't know who Peter Schiff was back in early 2007 otherwise I would have held off getting a car. I grew up in the 80's when interest rate was double digits and everybody paid cash, but I was just a kid and never cared about these things.

Never hurts to go in, and have a serious conversation about it.

What about leasebusters?

FJ/BRZ 05-10-2014 01:28 AM

I purchased a toyota FJ Cruiser in 06 (which will now be my Winter car). Interest was 7.3%. Thank god I had a car to sell so I had some cash down, otherwise I would have paid like 8grand in interest alone lol.

No one is going to take over a lease that's only a couple months old when they can get a much better deal from the dealership.

I am financing and I dont want to get rid of my car anyway as I only finished my suspension install a month or so ago and I don't want to have to buy another $3000 in suspension parts and then spend another weekend installing them.
