and Toyota GT-86 in Europe |
Officially (according to DMV records) it is the Toyota Scion FR-S, just like the Toyota Scion tC, Toyota Scion xB, etc. Scion is not a standalone auto manufacturer or brand like Lexus is.

My title will state Toyota FR-S, which I thought was kinda weird since it has a Scion badge on the front....oh well:iono:

I have never owned a partnership produced car like this before so I had no experience. I do remember a Toyota Corolla and Chevy Nova/Geo Prizm that NUMMI started making back in the 80's and more recently the Vibe and Matrix cars. Were these Novas, Prizms and Vibes listed as Toyotas also?:iono: |

It wasn't the original Toyota model. The Toyota Voltz was actually made at the NUMMI factory in California and shipped to Japan as a Toyota, and production of the Voltz started about 4 months after the Vibe. (May, 2002 for the Voltz versus January, 2002 for the Vibe). :)

It is a car that was designed by both Toyota & Subaru manufactured by Subaru and sold in two variations in the U.S. :D
