Dealer sold my FR-S
Hi my name is Dan Shimandle, I am one of the winners of the ************. I placed a down payment of $500 for the car, to reserve the car, as mentioned in the contest rules.
I was negotiating the price of the car with the sales person and they told me that they would contact me with my monthly payments. I received a call on my Voice mail to call them because they had the information from me. I called back the next day and there was no answer, so I tried again the next day and still no answer. A few days later on my Day off, I went up to the dealership and found out the sales person I was speaking with was on a trip learning about the scion before it's release, they said that they would call me when they were back in the office. Today I received a call from Joe (the salesman) who informed me that they sold the FR-S to another customer because, I took too long, and that I was being unreasonable in the pricing. I never even found out the pricing of the car, they never gave me that information. I put $500 down to reserve this car, I signed a contract with Toyota of Melbourne and they sold my car. I have contacted Scion's headquarters and the manager of the dealership and they are investigating the situation. |
Melbourne, FL?

I do not understand. Scion has pure pricing so there should not be any negotiating? Also Toyota Financial has a non negotiable finance rate.
I was told the First86 cars needed to be sold by close of business today. I hope Scion headquarters can help you get another car. |

Dealers suck. I hope Toyota rips these guys a new ahole
|
Well, this is weird.

To be real candid, it sounds like the salesman saw $$$$ and basically threw all the rules out the window. My guess is they will make it right. They do not want a blemish on the First86 program.

Throw a big fit, make lots of noise

Assassin_Kensi, what were they asking? We're you trying to get under MSRP, or were they trying to get over MSRP?
Edit: If you were trying to negotiate for under MSRP I have no sympathy. |
