BRZ Ships

Alright fellow New Englander's, the time has come to see if what we've been hearing about these first two ships carrying BRZ's into Boston has any truth to it.

In the next day or two, the first ship should be arriving here: Boston Subaru Terminal (for those of us who weren't aware of the exact location)

Now, I took a quick peek at which NYK ships were in the area and the closest is Andromeda Leader. It's currently anchored in Newark, NJ and has been there since late last night. This is the boat that I would guess is carrying something of value to us and it's location would make sense for the 19-20th delivery date.

The next ship that I spotted along the coast was Libra Leader. It's not far enough that I would say this might be the one to arrive on the 31st, so we could be looking at possibly a third ship.

Finally we have Altair Leader. I wanna say this is the one that will be here on the 31st, but only if it makes 2 or less stops on the way up.

For those of you who live a lot closer to the city than I, if you're going to be crossing the Tobin in the coming days, keep an eye on the dock (try to keep your other eye on the road) :thanks:

Hope everyone doesn't mind the ramblings of a mad man :bonk:

Thoughts? Questions?

Yeah mad man...how about tracking the boats coming to Florida. :D

Yikes, they're coming close is all I can say! They're not coming in thru Quonset, RI?

Andromeda Leader was in Jacksonville on Tuesday the 15th. Maybe Altair Leader is chock full of DGM's and makes a stop in JAX also

That would be a dream come true.

I'm crossing my fingers that they are on the boat which will be there in the next day or 2!!

Thanks Manny I appreciate the info. I got my VIN# on 5/17 for a DGM Limited 6MT. Does that mean it had to be at port to be assigned a VIN#? If so would it be assigned at port in/near Boston or would it arrive somewhere else in the states and be given a VIN before it departed for our local port?

I really wish I could answer that. I always thought that VIN's were assigned once they were physically on the ground in port, but at this point all I can do is speculate :iono:

I live in MA but drove down to the 3rd largest subie dealership of New England in Hartford, CT. So now I'm wondering if CT is under Subie of New England or some Tri-state region NY/NJ/CT. Oh well, getting a VIN# is a good sign. My salesperson said he *thinks* 6/7 will be when it arrives.

I was just wondering.

I heard that they're coming in to Quonset Point, North Kingston, RI on the 23rd and 28th of this month, and that they would arrive at dealers 7 to 10 days after that.

That sounds about right based on my conversation with my salesperson today. Even though I have a VIN# it must have been assigned at some other port in the country. My salesperson told me the car isn't at port yet but will be at the end of the month and if they didn't have it on June 7th I'd have it 2 weeks after that.

Well, it's docked so that can only mean good things :party0030:

bladesamurai 05-23-2012 12:56 PM

Is it confirmed that this boat has BRZs onboard or will that be evident later today?

Spaceywilly 05-23-2012 01:11 PM

I'll take a drive by this afternoon and see what I can find :D
