I hope this 18 y.o. clown gets the full penalties

You wanna hit 240? Go to mosport, you'll get to do it like 20-25 times in one day.

Who gives an 18 year old a GTR and DOESN'T see this happening?

I had a good laugh at his twitter feed though!

*edit* - Genius posts his whole home address in plain text on twitter for the world to find...

Who gives an 18 year old a GTR? Parents who think their child is the shit, and prop him up on a pedestal that he hasn't earned. Not surprised he drives like a shit head.

No idea why he is even boasting about his entrance scholarship though, not exactly the most prestige school to be attending.

You made me look at his twitter feed with that comment.

I believe I lost brain cells while looking at it. I fear for the future if fucktards like him end up reproducing.

You guys seriously need to hangout in Markham and Scarborough more when I often see 15 year old kids driving out of P-Mall in BMW M3s and Audi R8s.

That Toronto street racing documentary if you have a good eye you will see a burgundy 993 Carrera sitting at the import auto show, I once heard but don't quote me that the owner did 240 on the 407 back in the day and the cops had to use a chopper to catch it.

This is sad... I don't understand why any parent would buy their kid a car like this. I see it all the time in the GTA (kids driveing $100k plus cars)

If I ever have kids, I won't even buy them a $5k beater. They will buy their car with money that they worked to earn and learn to respect what they have as they worked hard to get it.

See there's a lot of reasons why this happens, and I'll say kids are not the ones to blame.

Having been engrossed in the Markham culture, and attended university where students drive M3s, and other expensive cars, there are multiple reasons why this happens:
  1. Parents are still overseas, and the cost of an R8 in Canada is much lower than what they would pay for in China (or where ever), so this is considered a "steal".
  2. They use their children as a status symbol to display their wealth, because they don't know any other way to do so.
  3. They never had such luxuries in their youth, so they live through their children's eyes.

Sadly, more often than not, these kids rollin' in their ballin' M3s, Lambos, R8s, rarely make it past their first or second year of University, resulting in them being sent back to their homeland to "work" for the family business. Nothing more than a glorified vacation.

It is much worse at UBC (University of British Columbia), where exotic cars are a daily occurrence.

I live at Kennedy and Ellesmere and go to P-Mall every now and then - you are absolutely right BUT those guys are all mainlander chinese (I am pseudo-HK) with more money than driving ability (I don't even call it skill). Those guys/gals are ridiculous and I try to avoid going to P-Mall unless I absolutely have to.

I have a friend who lives in Vancouver and graduated out of UBC - some of the stories I hear about rich kids walking into Lambo dealerships asking for a new car because they crashed the last are ridiculous.

Argh. I wish supercar ownership is a privilege based not only on bank account balance. I certainly wouldn't mind if cars were speed limited but became unlimited when taken to a proper track (like the GT-R does in Japan). However, I'm still conflicted about that as well, I always think that a person should get what they pay for, without restrictions and without idiot safeguards.

With all of that said, the thought of somebody innocent being killed by someone trying to max their vehicle on a public roads just makes me sick.

TAKE IT TO THE TRACK!!!

Kazuya 05-06-2014 05:34 PM

A few of my friends drive 200k cars.

Like everyone assumes, they are parent bought, does shitty in school but not all rich young mainlanders are assholes or stupid.
