Insurance Help...

As some of you know I got in a rear end accident few months back..
I'm trying to pursue a diminished value claim.. I paid collision claims associates to write me a DV report the inspection.

Well... Insurance gave me this BS.

Quote:

I have reviewed the documents that you forwarded to me with my supervisor Tim Jones as proof of your diminished value. After careful review of the documentation we have found that “Collision Claim Associates” did not physically inspect your vehicle, therefore their assessment cannot be take into consideration. Please provide additional documentation to support your diminished value claim.
Anyone who has had insurance experience.. What should I do from there?

Did Collision Claim Associates physically inspect your vehicle?

Yes. They sent out an inspector. The inspector is from SGSAutomotive which forwarded the document to Collision Claims Associates.

Could you get that inspector to write a memo stating that he physically inspected the car and noted the findings listed in the claim?

So provide written proof that CCA did the inspection physically and push back on insurance company.

I don't see what the issue is. Sometimes insurance companies use legal jargon to get out of paying a claim. You already have your own proof, just put it together and counter their argument.

I don't understand this second and third party business. Why not go directly to your insurer for these claims?

Insurance companies are greasy. They're there to make money for their investors, not to protect you. Sometimes you have to be very intolerant of their bullshit to get the results you want.

Where did you get the car from originally?

Pretty much.
If they can try finding a way not to pay up, they'll try finding whatever they can.
Going through the hoops of fire with my own insurance. (Trying to get a discount...hopefully the third time is the charm.)
