Interest? Tint Day - Group Buy

I have successfully talked one of my friends in to holding a tint day, location will either be Fairfax or Chantilly at one of the shops he works out of and we are looking at a tentative date of June 8th, which is a Sunday. He has been tinting for 12 years and has worked out of a number of shops in the local area. The price for the tint would depend on the quality of film but we are looking at $160-$180 per car.

Is this something people would be interested in?

He has tinted all of my cars and recently did a couple of people's cars on the forum, so I can get examples of his work if need be.

Mmmmmmaaayyyybeeee.

Vienna, eh? How do you deal with the crazy low speed limits? Drive me nuts, they do, every time we go there for Pazzo Pomodoro.

Seems a bit pricey, especially for a group buy. I want to get the family car done. That pleather gets hot! I ended up paying $140 for my car with a lifetime warranty. Plus they didn't cut around the tail light (that always bugs me).

I'll talk to him about price. The two shops he could work out of (Fairfax, and Chantilly) would want cuts and he is discounting from the normal shop rate by a good chunk.

I figured most people would be more willing to go to a garage than a home. I'm sure if he does it in a driveway or something it's cheaper.

Also this isn't cheap tint and I believe lifetime warranty is included.

He knocked out a BRZ yesterday in an hour and I remembered people looking for something like this. Maybe the best thing to do is limit film choice to only one or two types and a couple different %'s instead of free choice among the films he has.

Yeah Vienna speed limits/cops are pretty shitty. Never been to the Pazzo place.

That's good to hear. I've heard of some places having difficulty with the rear light and taking quite a bit longer to get it done.

I was the mentioned BRZ that was knocked out. Roughly 65 minutes for the job. Name-brand tint and done exactly the way i wanted it. Price point is also exactly where I wanted it.

If pictures are needed let me know. For reference, I'm so happy with it my wife's car will be done in the very near future.

It appears that @kanundrum will be taking care of this so Mods, please close this thread.

If you need tint, the hookup will be through him instead as his guy can offer better prices than mine.
