Anyone in east bay willing to demo their OEM Audio+ setup?

I'm interested in buying but I want to hear it before I pull the trigger. Anyone got it?

I have the OEM Audio+ IN my FR-S and I think it sounds good. Reminds me of a good set of computer speakers or a nice set of headphones. You get good hi, mid stays about the same and the bass gets a boost. If you're a bass guy it's only ok, but if you want the stock look and space saving box its the way to go. But if you're Ever in Sonoma county you can check it out yourself.

If no one else offers before then... come to the May 17 meet/dyno day at Mann Engineering. Mann has the OEM Audio+ in their BRZ and you can sit in/demo it then.

sorry to threadjack but is it worth it to get the 400cf system? or should the 400+ suffice for daily use?

I'm wondering this too. People seem to dig the 400+.

garfull 05-05-2014 04:37 PM

400+ is enough for daily use. both the oem speakers and the oem+ sub will start to max out about the same time. if you want super bass, this is not the system for you. is it worth $1200, prob not. you can piece together a better sounding system for that price.

Update: I was able to get a demo and I bought it. I'm glad I did! The install was simple, the sound is very well-balanced, so I'm very happy with it.

which one did u decide to get? i ordered the reference 400cf on friday

Just the 400+. It's good enough, but I could see myself getting the reference upgrade down the road.

If you're installing it yourself, you'll be happy with how easy it is. It took me about an hour to do the whole thing. Get panel tools if you haven't already!

Doing it myself. Yea u can upgrade to reference later on. No biggie, thats the good thing about this system. I wanted it to do it all in one go without spending 3k to get to the next tier

Yup, that's my plan. You'll dig it. I just finished writing my review about it.

Anyone here that owns the 400+ or reference system have a minute to snap a few detailed pictures of the plug on end of wire from sub into small amp on back??

I'd appreciate it HUGE if someone could!!

See thread here I'm in a pickle!!
