Can't make the 24th but really considering the September one

Same. Can't make the 24th. Be racing at Watkins Glen that weekend.

Thinking about it. I've never done a lapping day with random people so I'm a bit nervous about that, but it looks like fun and a reasonable price.

Are you down there with Frank and/or Bryce, or are there a few teams heading down from the GTA?

If you're going to pick any group of randoms, this is probably one of the best you could pick. It'll be very well controlled, with instructors available on site. MUCH better learning experience than most open lapping.

so tempting. I would really like to drive the new DDT

Not sure of those names but there is a good chance I know them. Yeah there will be a bunch of Canadians down there. Hell the north region (including the northern US) director is Canadian. It's a great time!

6 hour race Friday, 8 hour race Saturday and another 6 hour race on Sunday.

SO looking forward to going back there this year! Had a great time last season!

The new track is very nice, very smooth but also slippy cause it's all new asphalt. Once a bit more rubber gets put down it will be better.

Sounds like this would be a good first ever time on a track event.. Forked out way too much money recently.. mebbe the September date will work better for me as well..

It's got some bite to it! Lots of grip today, yesterday in the rain was a different story.

Probably just me insisting on trying to wear out my stock tires, it was cool, and it did get a bit better after I scuffed off the hard road glaze. Ordering tires this week!

We had about 60+ people (between students, instructors and lappers) out in the rain Saturday cleaning off the surface, and just as many today in the dry, you could definitely feel the grip build as the loose dust cleared off (and all over my car!) and the sun came out. I'll bet that on a 20*+ day it's even better.

The new layout is definitely more fun (and faster) than the old layout. The right hand bend in the west straight definitely feels more like a corner without the kink at the bottom!

What chump team are you with? Ours is a black '91 Civic hatch, IDFC racing. Not sure if Frank Ewald is going to be down with his miata team or not?

Should be an awesome race weekend, but too bad I'm missing the ATTS track day, it's always a great event.

EDIT - From the tiny avatar, mopar 4 life??
