Mather Auto-X May 17th + 18th

Just doing a Roll Call to see who will be attending the Auto-X here in Sacramento at Mather Air Field on May 17th and 18th. I know a couple of us plan to attend, but I figured I'd start a thread in case anyone just wanted to swing by and say high or check it out...

Info here:

Saturday - http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/Sacramento/Cup20143.htm

Sunday - http://www.sfrscca.org/solo2/Sacramento/Cup20144.htm

I'll be running in STX due to my mods (Saturday afternoon run group, Sunday morning run group). Stock BRZ/FRS's run in C-stock. If you have a crap ton of mods like FI, Street Mod is where you will wind up.

Its a great event to try for the first time and a good location even for bay area folks to come visit.

Let us know if you want to attend and need any advise/help!

I never see any talk of Sac area autox in that thread just the bay area, so I went ahead and started a new thread.

Plus the Mather events are few and far between, and are Charity events as well. (Shriners in May, PAL in June)

I'll be there...

In all fairness, I think all the autocrosses get lost in a single big thread. I feel like a new thread for each event will draw more participants.

A separate meetings/event forum for each region might help too.

In fairness we had a pretty good discussion about sac rd 1 and 2 in the bay area autox thread. These events just dont happen that often like you said so they dont get brought up.

If you wanna make a "Sac Area autoX" thread I'm down with that. But if I made a thread for every Bay Area autoX event I would have to make 50+ threads.

It's really not that bad. I used to make auto-x threads for each event on another forum. Control-C and Control-V does amazing things.

Well we only have one or two weekends a year that are actually IN Sacramento and they only reason they are allowed is because they are charity events...

Everything else for Sac SCCA is in Stockton and nobody really goes to those...

Ive had actual car meets at the Mather Events before, lots of folks dont even race they just show up to watch or go for ride alongs and see what its about. I'm hoping to get more of that this time around.

Hey, hey I'm somebody :(

but really there are a few of us that go to the Stockton events. The last event had 6 86's show up if i remember right. Would like to see more but I'm sure it will get better down the road.

Yup. We get no credit in Stockton. That was a decent turnout I thought. Haha

You know what I mean. Attendance is significantly lower at Stockton.
