Looking for catted uel header

Just wondering, are there any catted unequal length headers that arent made in America? Reason being I am able to source stuff elsewhere (Japan) for cheaper then it is to buy and ship from the US.

Best of luck with this. Even among U.S. manufacturers I don't recollect (and I can't find) a catted uel header. JDL only charge about $140 for freight to Aus.

If you are interested in the FT86SpeedFactory header listed above take no notice of the webpage generated quote for freight. Email them to get a proper price. I recently bought some parts from them. Webpage price for freight was US$186.36. I paid US$30.

Good, cause it was quoted as nearly $900

Are there any dyno results of stock car with catted hks el header, if i can get that for a decent price, I wouldnt mind so much about missing the rumble.

Ask them for a shipping quote via Email, I paid a lot less shipping than what the site quotes

Why are you repeating what I said 4 posts above? :)

If you don't mind missing out on the rumble then I would suggest these:

The thread is here:

Highly recommended and about a gazillion times better than HKS imo.

HKS supposedly makes one. They call it the boxer spec. It looks like they only offer it with an ECU pakage, but I'm planning on trying to source one with headers only.

HKS makes an UEL header with a "Cat".

The cat looks like a can of tuna fish at the end of the header. I doubt it would serve the purpose you're looking for in a cat.

eliminist 05-04-2014 03:55 AM

Excuse my ignorance, but would it be possible (practical) to run a stage 2 tune on a car with a (higher flowing) aftermarket catted header?

Or is this restricted to catless headers only?

Captain Snooze 05-04-2014 05:10 AM

Stage 2 means nothing per se. It is marketing speak. There is benefit to getting a tune regardless of cat or not.
