Reverse Lights

Hello,

I'm looking to replace my reverse lights with some LEDs. Does anyone recommend any good ones? I have a two T10 5 SMD LED's I bought from ebay that I was going to use for my courtesy and license plate lights but I ended up getting more than I bought. Will these fit into the reverse light sockets?

and does anyone recommend a way to get the sockets out? I've read a few places that you gotta turn the socket counter clock wise but i'm having a really hard time. It won't budge at all.

Thanks

Just guessing, but did you try pressing in then twisting?

Just get in and turn that bitch, you'll scrape up your arm a bit but they'll come out, pushing might help you but shouldn't need to. :D

I have some 50W lights off of ebay that work great

Get them from @Diode Dynamics. Got some stuff from them. Great quality, great price, can't go wrong.

T10 bulbs will work fine but it wont be as bright if you use the bulbs designated towards license plate lights, so you should consider buying brighter ones like the link provided above. As far as installing, it just takes some elbow grease and a little pain from scraping your forearm haha. Here's a page I use to determine the type of bulb to use: http://www.fr-sforum.com/forums/fr-s...scion-frs.html

There is this little tab on the right hand side of it that keeps blocking my fingers. I found where it is and even tried to jack it up to twist it, but it won't budge. Do you have to push it in first???

HAHA soooo jokes. nope.

Its a legitimate question... I didn't go to automotive or engineering school. This is the first car i've ever done "modifications" on... Hell, I didn't even know how to switch my tires until I got this car. Everyone starts somewhere right?

Thanks to everyone who actually contributed to this thread. I do appreciate it.
