2nd annual BeeRZ and BRZ's (and FRS')
So last year Phaedrus29 and I set up BeeRZ's and BRZ's...sadly not a single FRS showed up. Anyways, the point of it was to have a beautiful drive in scenic PA and NJ (believe it!). We'll start the drive at the far end of the parking lot where Triumph Brewery in New Hope, PA is located. After the drive, we'll come back Triumph brewery and grab some food and drinks.
Date: June 14th 2014 Time: Meet @ 1PM, leave by 2PM. We will leave earlier if we believe everyone is in attendance. Please PM me if you think you'll be much later than 1PM. Yes I said 1PM. Include your cell number. Location: Rear of the parking lot at... 400 Union Square Drive New Hope, PA (triumph brewery) Info from the thread last year: Alright everyone it's getting warm out again and Phaedrus29 and I had some talks about a meetup near New Hope, PA which would turn into an optional cruise (not heavy hooning) around a loop of River Road, PA Route 32 and then over the bridge to the opposite side, NJ Route 29. This will then end at the Triumph Brewery where we will get together for some food and drinks. Attendee's 1. Laika (basically any date, prefer Saturday) 2. Phaedrus29 Please PM me or post here so I can add you to list. If you PM, feel free to exchange cell numbers. This makes it a lot easier day of the meet and drive if anyone gets lost. Phaedrus29 and I have figured out the route we will be taking. It's a nice mix of sweepers, straights, and second gear corners. Most of all, it's a gorgeous, scenic drive. There's a couple brief moments where we need to drive through town but they shouldn't be to burdensome. There will be a break at "Destination B", this is just a very small "park" that's mostly a parking lot but it has a nice view of the river. Good place for a photo op. We'll probably add a brief break to the NJ side too. For the most part, this is really not an extreme drive. However, on the Jersey side of it, just after Carpentersville road there's a section of narrow roads with quick turns. It'll be a lot safer with a group and especially with a leader that knows where the road randomly turns and crosses over the parallel (yes, not perpendicular) railroad tracks. I definitely made the ABS work a bit while discovering this. Oh and on this narrow road there's several mini waterfalls on the drivers side. As I said, very scenic drive for PA/NJ. What you need to bring: 1. Copilot (optional) 2. Snacks 3. WATER 4. Radios if you have them. We had a total of 4 FRS radios amongst us last year, helped a lot 5. A full tank of gas 6. Money for parking at Union Square (where Triumph is, 1.00 per hour). No need to pay when we just meet up. Only when we go in for dinner 7. Camera 8. Positive attitude. We WILL see traffic at some point. Don't worry about it, we can slow down to build a gap while we enjoy the scenery. |
I may be in.

I'm in, but that Sunday (June 8th) works MUCH better for me.
Here's a link to our thread from last year with some pics if you want to take a look...and a 35 minute video of the drive that I spent hours editing but didn't edit down further or add music to: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...t=beerz&page=4 Looking forward to this fun cruise again!:drinking: |
time to re-meet again!!! I am in.

Hmm.....I'd be in if we would just stay on the PA side.....

Ah I'd love to go but my buddy's 21st birthday is that weekend T_T
I'll make it out one day Laika I promise! |
This sounds fun... I'd add in the suggestion of traveling to the Victory Brewery in Downingtown PA (have to give this input, it's my hometown... and they have the best wings I've ever had).
Not sure if I'd be able to make it, leaving for vacation the following Monday. I'll keep an eye on the thread though! |
i wish i could go, BUT thats the weekend of Wicked Big Meet, so expect a lot of subaru's to be there for that reason....

32 is just as pretty and curvy as 29, especially if you go all the way out to 611 towards Easton. Also a place call Indian Rock Inn on 32 has great food. Just a thought :) |
