I have the BRZ for play and I purchased a 2014 BMW 228i for driving around. This car is fully loaded with the Sport package and M suspension. I think this is a great combo of cars and I am totally happy with my purchasing decision. :) Now being in Texas how do I not put a front license plate on this vehicle. haha!!!

My wife is feeling the new 2 series. Mind spilling how much you paid?

Nice car. :)

You'd probably need a front license plate mounting kit that goes into the stock front towhook panel that's offset to the right (if sitting in the car) of the center line, just below the right headlamp.

For what it's worth, I've been driving in TX for 22 years, with a short break in CA, but have never run a front plate. I've been asked about it when pulled over, and openly said I have it in the trunk, but don't plan on mounting it, and have never gotten a ticket for not displaying it.

I did the same in CA and also had evil tinted windows. I did get a few parking tickets there for specifically not having it, but that was a small price to pay for not having to have the front plate.

Great looking 2er, I'm still torn between a 228i and a BRZ, only for the reason that I'd prefer to have a functional rear seat.

My price was right at 45K out the door. The 228i starts at 33K, but the options on this car get expensive fast. Such as the premium and sport line packages cost right at $6500. Lucky for us they had one on the lot that was perfectly setup for us. I have heard stories it can take 4 months if you order one right now.

Congrats on the new ride! Wish I could buy another buddy for the FRS. Hope they get along ;-)

Nice! We ordered one for the better half the first week of March. 228i, M performance package, 6MT, heated seats, Estoril Blue on brown leather. $38.5 out the door. Managed to talk the dealer down $2K and apply another $1k discount :respekt:

Should be taking delivery late next week.

Well you will be totally happy with the car. That 4 with a turbo is absolutely amazing and it is very snappy. BMW is claiming 0-60 in 5.4, but I am waiting for some independent testing on that. I have not gotten on mine yet, but the demo car the salesman was like hit it. I was surprised just how quick the car was. When we got back he asked if I wanted to try the 235i and I said hell no. I knew if I drove it I would want it more and I wanted to keep the price within my budget.

That 1K discount recent graduate? I just finished my Master's degree last year and I was able to get the discount by a month. :w00t:

Yes, they even accept graduate school which is nice. Who knew BMW would knock so much off MSRP for a special order car, I will be a return customer for sure.

OP, very nice addition to the stable,

More like 25 then 30. I blinked & 5 years suddenly disappeared.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.
