Keep em or sell em? Black-chrome carbon-fiber light set

EDIT: Decided to sell them! http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...12#post1701112

I'm strongly debating whether I should sell these set or not. I've used them for 2-3 months and just grew tired of them and I kinda want the stock look back.

Now that I got stock replacements and took these off, I don't know what to do with them. I spent hours trying to make these before and I don't want to just get rid of them, but at the same time, I need some money for track days and actual performance parts.

Those look awesome. I'm sure someone on this forum will be more than happy to buy them off you.

No one bit when you tried to sell/trade for them?

retrosmiths 04-27-2014 06:41 PM

Well, some did, but my main concern is whether I should sell them given I spent hours of hard work on them, haha..

FRSTRM 04-27-2014 06:44 PM

Ah gotcha. Personally, I think you should keep them. They are pretty damn unique with the CF accents. I'd of been all over these if I didn't go aftermarket for lights.

Keep em. They look great. Yeah, a lot of contrast for a Whiteout, but if you add any other darker accents it will look right (spoiler, body kit, etc.)

But these can pay for track days, pads, etc. Haha, something I really enjoy.

Anyway, I went back to stock also because I am tired of cosmetic mods, I want to learn to drive/race better and not worry about how my car looks.

Uhmmm...well, I guess that answered my question, LOL. I'll sell them :)

I'd be interested in them! How much you looking to get for them?

FRSTRM 04-27-2014 06:54 PM

FINE, don't take my advice!

Err..3M vinyl's cut to fit those shapes, haha.. I did use the DupliColor Black Chrome paint kit, but I sprayed a bit too much of the black paint, hence why they look too dark for black chrome.

If you look at the high beam reflector plate, that's how black chrome should actually look like.
