WTB: 235/45/17 tires

Any vendors running any specials? I am looking into the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, but am open to similar suggestions.

Looking to get 235/45/17.

I'm not a vendor but I was orignally going to by the PSS in that exact size. Instead I bought the bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position when they were on special from tirerack. However, I bought that price to Discount tire (locally) and they pricematched at about $120 a tire. Kind of a steal in my book.

Overall review of the tire is that it grips really good. I love taking it out on some twisty roads. The tire is also more forgiving than the PSS.

I just figured I'd shoot you another option if you needed tires now and wanted to save some $$.

Edit: I think some of the tire companies are doing sales upto $100 off if you buy four tires. worth looking into. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! I am actually thinking of getting the goodyear F1 tires. Did you stay with 235/45? How do you like that sizing?

No Problem. Yeah, I am still rolling with the 235/45R17s. They are doing really well and the wheel sizing isn't too bad. Here Take a look at the difference between the stock (215/45) and the Potenzas (235/45). The tire isn't too big but fills up the extra space better. I would almost say that 245's would be perfect.

If you were going to use stock rims I think you can go as big as 235's on them and I've heard of people running 245's too but that's pushing it since the rims are 17"x7". Hope the image helps.
