Thoughts on the new Interior
 

the new look of my interior... thoughts ? questions?

Looks clean but to me, all depends on exterior color !

I love it. Much more cohesive than stock. What all went into this? Did you paint the black or order the JDM black pieces?

I like what you did with the black but may be too much red for me. Maybe keep the red door handles but change the steering wheel trim to black. There is an imbalance somewhere just cannot quite put my finger on it yet. BUT it is your car and this is my opinion. Yeah it is the steering wheel trim that throws it off for me. I love the dash/sat nav trim. You convinced me to make it black.

I agree with @Khazzy and IMO its definitely the wheel that pushes it too far. The rest is nice and subtle and effective. Just do the wheel bit in black and it would be awesome.

I like it! I wrapped all of my panels in gloss white and love it. It's so easy to do and worth it to cover up that tacky silver color.

+1...the steering wheel trim cover needs to not be red...

Kind of an eyesore.

I personally like it a lot. What kind of paint did you use for the black/red? I plan on doing something similar to mine; just want to be sure I'm careful. And did you actually take the entire steering wheel apart to paint that piece?

I think an aftermarket knob would complete the look

still deciding on a shift knob and i used plasti dip and yes i took everything apart and painted it

Not a big fan of all the red accenting where it is. However, it's not my car. It IS clean, so question is: do you like it?

If so, excellent. It's a good interior. Not my tastes on where to accent, but that doesn't matter.

I'd have to agree that the steering wheel is so much red that it brings too much focus on the red. I feel the same about the mudflaps.


On the exterior, a red pinstripe and accenting the GT86 symbol with red would tie the inside better in my opinion.

Tacky IMO

My interior is staying like that but I have recently changed my exterior , more pictures will be posted soon . I will be taking pictures from the next meet that I am attending

I have to give props to anyone who doesn't cave to public opinion! I look forward to seeing your update
