Is there a gear number dash light on BRZ?

If so, how do I turn it on? I can see at certain angles where it would be, but it doesn't light up. Sorry if this topic has been covered; I didn't see any other threads about it when I did a search, and I know how sensitive folks around here can be about using the search function, lol.

It is the same process on the BRZ as it is on the FRS...we just didnt make a video :)

I turned it on for about 3 days and then turned it off. It will only tell you what gear you are in when the clutch is all the way out (guess the sensor is in the pedal?) and not when the shifter is in the gate.. and a little green arrow for when you should shift for fuel economy. Found both annoying.

i keep both turned on.. i would prefer it to show the gear all the time, but it doesn't..

and fyi-- there's a delay anyways-- i tried shifting without the clutch a couple times and it still took as long as using the clutch to display the gear being used, so disabling the clutch switch wouldn't 'fix' anything.

Funny, I just turned mine on today. Took me a while to figure out, with very little reward

I had mine on for about a day or so and then turned it back off.

I think the gear indicator works on a speed to RPM algorithm in the computer, which is why its only on when the car is fully in gear with clutch out. Kind of like the Racingmeter thing in the Torque app for Android.

I love it. I wondered why my previous owner hadn't turned it on, along with the rev light/beep.. but then again, the alarm wasn't on.. same with one touch unlocking both doors.

In the end, I'm sure he had no idea :D

You can do that? How?

Couple different methods. But I used the first one the OP mentioned
