Dashcam help.
Hey guys, I am planning to buy a dashcam. I need some recommendation on which one to buy. Price is midrange. Something that is good for its price but not too expensive. Thanks.

Get the Blackvue DR500 (single cam) or DR550 (double cam).
Don't go cheap. You'll regret it. Most cheap cams break after being exposed to sunlight for some time. EDIT: Someone in the FOR SALE section is selling his DR500. |

I hear the OJOcam is awesome. Check out this thread:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61554 You can buy it here: [ame="http://www.amazon.com/G-sensor-integration-accident-evidence-YouTube/dp/B00G6UC9MU/"]Amazon.com : OJOCam Pro 1080P Mini 0801 HD Dash Camera with G-sensor and GPS (google map integration), car accident video evidence, record road trip videos and easily upload to YouTube -1.5" Lcd, 1080p real time : Automotive Electronic Security Products : Car Electronics[/ame] |
You want this one. GPS and WiFi don't mean jack crap to me, but it would be nice to have. I've had it since September. Still works like a champ.
Blackvue DR-500 ~250 on Amazon http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...light=blackvue |
I can vouch for the Ojocam. I hardwired installed mine a couple of weeks back using a 12v to 5v converter tapped into the power mirror harness. Its tucked nicely behind the rearview mirror. Picture quality is fairly decent, and I have no complaints. :happyanim:
