WARNING TO ALL BUYERS OF FT86CLUB: NEVER EVER SEND MONEY VIA PAYPAL "GIFT" FOR A PART

Guys, stop being dumbasses and sending money to people you don't know as "gifts" on PayPal. You enable yourself to be scammed for doing such a thing. If the seller isn't willing to sell as without taking money as a gift, do not purchase it and take your money elsewhere. It isn't worth the risk. These fucking scammers are becoming more abundant, but you can stop if you just do the transaction the right way. Help yourself before they take your money!!!

I've have both sent and received funds as gift via PayPal to and from trusted and proven sellers with excellent feedback. There's definitely an element of risk here and buyers/sellers alike must use some common sense. I've never been burned, nor have I ever burned anyone. Having said that, for those not wanting to send funds as gift for obvious reasons, don't cheapout on PayPal fees and lowball private sellers...

I never gift vendors

What old version of PayPal are you guys using. These are the current options:

$0.00 USD fee. Free for you. The seller pays the fees.

$0.00 USD fee if you use your PayPal balance and/or a bank account.
$3.20 USD fee if you pay using your credit or debit card.

No respectable business should be asking you to say you are sending money to family or friends when you are purchasing goods or services. If that company doesn't have their own credit card processing and rely on PayPal then they should be fine with paying the PayPal fees.

He's talking about members buying from members, not vendors.

Personally I put the paypal fees in my selling price. If I'm not willing to accept an offer minus the fees I don't accept the offer. Not rocket science.

I hate the "add 3%" crap and discourage it on here now in the rules (but don't prohibit it).

Just because someone is on FT86Club does not mean they are your friend. My point was that there is no "gift" option on PayPal and there hasn't been for a couple of years now I believe. Advertising someone paying the 3% fees is actually against the PayPal ToS, as well I believe, and they can remove your account.
