K.R.O.P.S.' Track Project: SWP BRZ Limited

Hey guys -

Exhilarated by tracking the car at the Streets of Willow, I took my car out to the latest K.R.O.P.S. event at the APEX track in Perris. For a completely stock car, this thing is quite a beast around the track.

I tried it with traction control on and off, and it did make quite the difference. I was able to post a 56 second run with it on, and got it down almost two whole seconds when I turned it off. I didn’t really notice the lack of power, but I do suppose I could’ve shaved off another second or so through the straights. There was a bit of body roll, but nothing serious. Would like to see how a stiffer suspension would change the drive, though.

Also, the exhaust is fairly quiet on the track. It was a little difficult to hear when to shift, and I could tell it was being a bit restrictive.

Overall though it was a pure joy to drive. Planning to upgrade the tires, brake pads, suspension, exhaust, and adding on a few bolt ons, as well.

Recommendations? I'll be posting the progress made on it.

Thinking of putting some Tanabe Pro Z40 coilovers and some extra sticky tires, first.
