1Cor10:23 | Whiteout FR-S | Form Follows Function Build

So I've finally decided to start a journal to document all the things that have happened to my FR-S. Whether it's mods, maintenance, or boo-boos, wanted to have a place to keep her complete history. Starting a bit late into the game so will have a bit of a black log on details/pics.

|Background|

Purchases in July 2013 with a build date of April 2013. This is my first MT car and also first new vehicle (some prior new-to-me cars).

|Theme|

Someone mentioned it on the forum before (name escapes me now) but essentially, this individual offered some great advice - your build should have a theme to keep your mods consistent. It's easy to get sidetracked with all the fabulous parts coming out for this platform you might go down a path which you didn't really intend to.

For me, the car is my DD but I also intend on attending the occasional track day / HPDE. As for mods - I find the car is beautiful just the way it is and will focus on parts that affect performance as opposed to aesthetics. I'm pretty crazy about symmetry and fit and most aftermarket parts just don't do it for me. Heck, OEM replacements sometimes don't even fit well depending on who you get to do the task.

How do you like your G1W dashcam? Size, video quality (can you see plate numbers?), etc.). I'm looking for a dashcam, too, but not sure which one to get.

4.2 SPC camber bolts (will install when new wheels come in)

Hmm once you have this installed I wanna check out your strut clearance in person with whatever camber you get

For the price, likely nothing better out there, video quality is great. Be sure to get a class 4 or 6 card only, class 10 makes it crash on long drives - likely error in erasing and re-writing.

It can be found for ~$60 or less online.

They're going on this Saturday, will try my best to make it to meet by 5PM but might be tight.

I love that your name is a bible verse and that it lends it's hand to this project.

God bless!

Was able to get -1.26 on each side. Shop said doubling up could get 1.5+ for sure. I'll run it as is for now since I'm only really doing it for closer to even wear at the track. Likely coils for next season.

That's decent enough. And I'm assuming you aren't rubbing at full lock? I have 17x8 +48 in the front, and based on your 17x9 + 35 up front, it appears I can fit 235's if you can fit 245's :thanks:

I'd double check that with others...the offset might be tight? + know that +45 RPF1's barely fit stock and people typically coil it. It's fairly well documented that 17x9+35 clears stock, lots of posts in the 17x9+35 RPF1 thread.

Yeah I think I did. Not to hijack your thread, but you can use this website to check fitment against a known fitment: http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php...et2=48#content

Just ordered Raceseng plates too. Did you DIY or get it installed elsewhere?

I got them installed at a shop, need to do alignment afterward anyway.

Hi
Could i ask how (what hardware and software) you used to generate the track diagram, car position, speed etc in (the bottom left hand corner) of your great YouTube video of 'September, 2014 - Open Lapping @ TMP - 126.1'
Thanks very much indeed :)

Sorry for the late reply! It's Harry's lap timer (available on android or iOS).
