Air inlet tube mod after drop in filter mod review. Worth it?

No picture or videos here because everyone know what a drop in filter and perrin inlet tube looks like.
This is a short review for those who ever wondered if an air inlet tube is worth doing AFTER a drop in filter.

The answer is OH YES.

You can tell a difference.

I had an afe drop in filter. Drove it around for 3 weeks. Sounds good and car was more peppy.

I then just put on the perrin inlet tube. Immediately the car feels peppier.
The feel of the post inlet is like adding a drop in filter replacing the OEM filter.

Ok that's it for this short review.
You can Google perrin to see a pic of perrin tube vs. OEM tube.

Cheers.

And no, this is not a placibo effect from my psyche. I am pretty sure the throttle response picked up.
Thanks guys. Hope everyone's Monday was great.

By peppy do you mean increase in performance? That's funny that you did this review because those are my next mods in mind.

Peppy meaning the car likes to moves a little bit more and sooner. And not because I was doing it on purpose with my foot.

You'll like it. Do it.

And yes. I wrote this review because I know there are lots of ppl wondering "should I even get an inlet tube? I already got a filter. I should've just gone with a real full intake. Would it even be worth it?"

The answer is once again: YES. Its worth it.
And I'm sure other full intake cost more and performs pretty much the same as a filter + tube.
If you are picky about 1 horsepower, then close the window browser now and run into the wall behind you and don't come back.

*thumbs up guys

From what I read, getting a full intake without a tune won't do as much. If you have a tune or planning to get one then yes go for the full intake. If not then go with the filer + inlet tube.

Yes I will do it and get the filter and inlet tube, thanks.

Please do keep in mind that this filter + tube mod is essentially a full intake mod setup of its own. And yes I will disclaim that this filter + tube without a tune won't net you much either. But it is enough to definitely feel a difference coming from a rigged inside of the OEM tube. And same as other full intake systems, it will net about the same in comparison without & with a tune.

I mod mainly for throttle response and torque curve gain when possible on NA applications. I will also add, if anyone expects a godly 15hp gain from this, you will be disappointed. This is not an air fuel ratio mod on a boosted applications.

Thanks for the quick review! I currently have the afe drop in. Hoping to get the inlet tube soon! I'm sure this mod and colder air up here will make the BRZ happy :D
