OpenFlash Manager 1.07.1

Hi all,
I just received my OpenFlash Tablet today for my 2013 6MT FR-S, and I have immediately run into an issue I'm hoping someone can help me with. Currently, the car is stock except for a drop-in filter. I'm on a PC running Windows 7. I downloaded and installed OpenFlash Manager 1.07.1 and rebooted my PC. I also downloaded and extracted the 1.59 OTS maps.

I plugged the Tablet into my OBD2 port, and was able to read and store my factory program. The problem came when I plugged the tablet into my laptop to make sure the 1.59 maps were installed for flashing to the ECU.

In OpenFlash Manager 1.07.1, whenever I click on 'Download Data', 'Upload Data', 'Erase Data', 'Upgrade', 'Download LOG', or 'Data Logging' I always get an error message stating "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.". I re-booted the computer again, to no avail.

I was able to click on ModFiles DataBase and click on the .dev file that was included in the 1.59 maps and it appeared to have downloaded to the tablet.

Just for S&G, I went ahead and downloaded the Win8 patch, but that did nothing at all to help with the issue. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any ideas...

That error occurs when Windows isn't equipped with a certain font. I've seen it a couple times before. If you email me at shiv@vishnutuning.com I can send you an installer that will be add the font to your OS :)

Thank you! I was apparently missing the font file that you emailed to me. I'll leave it up to you if you want to publicly post with font file I needed. Regardless, top-notch customer support, one of the many reasons I chose to go with the OFT. Thank you again for your support on this issue.

Meant to mention I have no idea how to 'thank' someone in a thread, but I would do so if I knew how!

I might have to check out your tune one day to see how it runs. OFT is definitely on my list of future mods!

Thanks shiv,

Found I had to copy font file to C:\windows\fonts directory

If anyone else needs it unzip attachment below and stick it in directory above

if you get the "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." error in OFM

This is the second computer I have used. My home laptop is old and dodgy. On it I could get OFM working but it would have trouble with the zipped roms saying they were corrupt when I tried to unzip them. So I thought I would try my work computer and I get OFM errors on that. I have put the roms on a USB drive unzipped and will try that on my home laptop. It is all fun and games and I am 90% sure the issues are with my computers not the OFT or OFM or even the rom zips.

Honestly all of this is making me look at finally upgrading to a new home computer.

(sorry for the potentially unnecessary and long response, I am just disappointed I can't yet flash my car)

Yes you can flash, your oft should be pre loaded with latest .dev tunes. Just read your stock rom, then flash away. No need for pc connection untill you want to update device or tunes
