Paint Detail Services By Thomas Dekany

I thought I'd share my experience with Thomas, who'm I was referred to by someone here. (Thanks, whoever you were!)

I was one of the unfortunate ones who had the car "detailed" by the dealership before pickup. It made me sad looking at the damage caused to the clear coat so I reached out to Thomas Dekany and discussed my options.

It took him about 8-10 hours including detailing the windows, trim and tires, and I gotta say he exceeded my expectations. Although Opti Coat sounded very convincing, I'm a bit old school and wanted to go the waxing route.

He is extremely humble, a true perfectionist and he takes his profession very seriously. He even gave me a ride (50 miles both ways) to pick up the car, which was perfect since it gave me time to pick his brain a bit. He gave me the whole lowdown on properly maintain the exterior, and needless to say, I now feel more confident having the knowledge to protect the paint and to avoid further issues.

Pictures were taken himself, although he got done at 8PM and was dark out he was nice enough to take some pictures. My car is now swirl free and looks better than it did coming out of the factory. If anyone is interested in using his services, I highly recommend giving him a call!

Thanks for sharing! Tom does amazing work - I believe I was the one that refered you to him awhile back. I have him stopping by my place tomorrow to opti-coat my new side markers and emblems :)

Out of curiosity.... whats his fees for doing a full external detail like this?

I may be interested once all my exterior parts arrive and get installed.

Oh, haha - my car is pictured on one of his testimonials. Anyway - his email is on the top of that page Chen, and I think there is some pricing info listed there as well, but I would shoot him an email and communicate what your specific needs are instead of going off of that.

He drove up to Issaquah, Wa to do my Boss 302 in my garage when I got it. Awesome guy, very nice and easy going and really easy to work with, and of course he does amazing work too.

I'd recommend Thomas to ANYONE.

He seemed like a great guy back when I was trying to get my car opticoated...unfortunately with quality comes a high cost and I couldn't afford it at the time...now I wish I had done it cause it's going to cost a lot more for me to do it now

Yeah, it's kind of one of those things where you wonder if it's worth the cost, but it's definitely worth it when it's done right. It's never too late.

$50 an hour for the color correction, and for mine he quoted me an average of 8-10 hours. As far as opti-coating and other services, the costs are listed on his site posted earlier.

I'm not very familiar navigating through Flickr, but you can find a lot of his work here including a few 86's: https://www.flickr.com/photos/thomas...7631777555743/
