From my experience in other cars, a lot of doors are designed to handle being wet inside. they generally have a weep holes in the bottom of the door for any water that does get in. That is why they glue that plastic over the inside of the door, to protect the interior door panel from the water that will eventually get inside. As far as the mark, there is usually a window brace inside the door which supports the window when it is down so it doesn't rattle back and forth. This block usually has felt or some other soft material on it to keep from scratching the glass. It will usually stay wet for a while, and smear that water on the glass when you roll it up/down. I haven't taken apart the frs doors, but my 240 has a blurry stretch in the window tint in almost exactly the same place as your picture, only on the inside.
