Persistent Check engine light
 

Third time to the dealer for this. First they replace the gas cap.. Then they said it was the cord attached to the gas cap... -.-... Now they kept the car and said someone is coming from NJ to look at it. Obviously they have no clue what's wrong. And then when I go to get a loaner they say.. "All we have is a Prius... Sienna... And a 4runner" refuse to drive a Prius ... Minivan simply isn't happening.. So I'll beat the crap out of this 4runner... Nice audio system tho. But has anyone had similar problems and gotten this "it's the gas cap" excuse?

They only know what the codes tell them. The fuel system is venting to the atmosphere somewhere apparently.

Get the check engine code from them...it should be able to tell us something about what is happening
