well

as of right now they have

xB-The wagon
tC-The Coupe
FR-S-The Cool Coupe
iQ-The City Compact

Toyota said they want to offer 3 new models

let me suggest these ideas and names

sT-a New Compact Truck to slot underneath the Tacoma as there are no compact trucks out there right now and Toyota could steal the market

fJ- something replace the FJ Cruiser as Toyota's off-roader.

-Make it small
-Make it 2-door
-make it a utility vehicle(i.e. give the possibility to remove almost everything)
-Price it competitively with the 2-door wrangler

mR- a MR-2 replacement

-sale as a convertible or targa
-could be the new coupe Toyota has been talking about

All my time growing up I wanted a vette or some high speed exotic to
Race around in. Well after 4 vettes, M3's, etc... I found a car I can really
Use in the real world.. One that I can push and zip around in without
Being thrown in jail. Where a set of tires doesn't cost 1600$.. I'm not a primary target anymore for cops and thieves or low life's..
This is an awesome car mainly because of what it doesn't have !!! Weight, cost.. Etc..
Don't get me wrong.. I enjoyed my other cars and they were more capable in many areas.. But this one has the right combination of power, weight , cost and makes more sense in the real world..

It'll be 2 disappointing rehashes and 1 "had some potential" model.

Boring, consistent sales are more attractive in business than "possibly 10% better but more likely 25% worse" sales.

Scion needs a new tC and xB. The current xB looks awful when compared to the 1st gen. Also rumors about Scion getting a sub compact CUV (Toyota Rush base?).

And or wouldn't mind the return of the 3 door Rav4.

From what I understand, cars in general are just more expensive in your part of the world.

There was also a rumor about the Daihatsu Kopen being sold in the US as a Scion to replace the outgoing iQ.

Report: Daihatsu Copen to be resurrected and may come Stateside as a Scion?

Quote:

To rival modern Honda Beat

A recent report says Daihatsu plans on bringing back to life the Copen in the near future.

A couple of days ago we saw Honda’s S660 concept which serves as a preview for a modern Beat due in Japan in 2015. Now, British media is reporting Daihatsu plans to resurrect the Copen and thus recreate the Beat vs. Copen comparisons even though the production years of the two models never collided. Daihatsu did show a D-R Concept at last year’s Indonesian Motor Show which could indicate the production model’s styling approach.

While the original model was a kei car, it is not known whether its modern successor will fit this category which requires (as of October 1, 1998) vehicles be up to 3.4 meters long and 1.48 meters wide, while the engine must have a 660cc capacity and a maximum output of 64 HP (47 kW).

There are some rumors suggesting the Honda Beat will be sold outside Japan with a larger engine, leading us to believe Daihatsu could sell the model in other markets as well, such as United States where it could be badged as a Scion since Toyota has a majority stake in Daihatsu.

Yeah, cause I wasn't pissed off at Toyota enough already. I'm prepping to sell my Toyota Celica and have bought into chevy because of the Scion bullshit with the 86. That would be the final nail in the coffin of no return.

Keep your celica. As of now, it's the last made Toyota sports car in the US with a fantastically reliable Toyota engine. (I consider the tC a sport compact, and let's just leave the LFA out) FWD or not, I still get excited when I see them. It reminds me of why I enjoy Toyota so much, cars like the celica. Inexpensive, super reliable, easy to work on, maintain and repair. And you have the GT-s with the Action Package, great looking car.

When they were on sale, I didn't quite realize how much I appreciate them like I do now. I would love to have one as a DD and keep my FR-S for the weekend.

see to me I always viewed the tc as the celica gt replacement being the new sport compact (never considered the fwd celicas a sports car).

And I don't understand the scion hate seeing how it is just another marquee of toyota . Most people know scions are toyotas. Hell my old tc was titled as a toyota...

I fully agree with the second part.
