Tony Hawk Jumps Over LFA

Figured I'd share this.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szIffGzyJp4"]Tony Hawk Jumps over $400k Lexus LFA on a Skateboard - YouTube[/ame]

Tony Hawk made his name jumping his skateboard over things, so it should come as little surprise that when Lexus lent Hawk a $400,000 Lexus LFA, he did what he knows best. Yes, today’s Video Find is skateboarding legend Tony Hawk jumping a very, very expensive car on a skateboard.
Hawk’s yellow LFA was on loan from the manufacturer when he pulled it into a parking lot, placed a wood ramp next to the driver’s door, and grabbed his skateboard. You can connect the dots. No egos, skateboards, or $400,000 carbon fiber supercars were damaged in the making of the film. Considering what some other yellow LFAs have done during their lifetimes, it’s probably for the best.

I'm more impressed at the fact that Tony Hawk is still skating! I grew up owning several Powell Peralta boards including his first iconic bird skull.

Ha, were you a skater borda growing up?

I never really got into it that much but now I remember people always asking my friends "can you kick flip that shit" or "clear" something stupid or pretty easy.

:word:

It's awesome to see him still rolling around killing it. I skated on the old Natas Kaupas boards from SMA back in the day.

Yeah, elementary through high school. It was the lifestyle here and growing up we had to find places to skate. Now they have a number of outdoor skate parks.

They sure don't make stuff like they used to back in the 80-90's. I had a GT Pro Performer bike back in the days. Man, I wish I kept it in mint condition b/c they are now a collector's dream. :bonk:

That's true. Now they have designated skate parks for these kids, but I'm sure our skate parks are not as good as compared to the ones over in Cali, since you guys get better weather condition out there.

I think the best ones are the ones you can make/create or find hidden areas to skate. Not that I was ever really into skateboarding but a lot of my friends were, I just enjoyed some of them getting hurt. :D
