Where to mount cameras

Say you have more than one camera, or you want to use your one camera for dramatic effect, where and how do you mount said camera to your car for interior and dramatic exterior shots?

Out the front window is good, and easy to mount to the glass somewhere with a suction cup or adhesive

Rear window same effect

Suction cup gopro mount is good for certain exterior angles, doors, fenders, etc.

interior? Other crazy angles with longer arms? 3rd person view? I'm curious who's tried what and how?

Curious about this to.
Just ordered my go pro.

I mostly just stick mine to the top of the rear window on the inside on the suction cup mount with a narrower field of view. Lets me see out the window plus whatever I'm doing with my hands.

On the door, slightly above the tire, front of the hood, front/center of roof, rear window, pointed backwards, on the rear quarter, depends on what you want :)

I don't have any need for interior shots, so the front window works just fine - all I'm after is the line the car traveled.

So far I've done front bumper and top of roof. Off the bumper looked cool because the ground goes by fast. Top of the roof though give alot more perspective on what the car is doing so that is what I am doing now.

I am also thinking of getting a second camera for in the car so I can see what movements I make (hopefully make me smoother on my control inputs).

That said, I am using the camera as a training aid, not for dramatic effect.

I like to mount mine on the rear quarter window:

We mounted it to the center of the roof, just above the windshield. It captured some pretty good footage

Here are a few videos I did this weekend. It was the first time I autocrossed the BRZ. And I apologize for the wind noise in advance. I had a hole cut in the case for an external microphone. The microphone died so I didn't plug it in, but I forgot to cover the hole up.
