NSW RTA Approval (Engineered Cert) for WRX 4 Pot Callipers on a 86
I have fitted a set of WRX 4 Pot brake Calipers on the front and 2 Pot on the rear on my 86 and I’m going to get the brakes engineered approved.
Just wonder if anyone has done this yet in NSW. Please PM if you have. Thanks Andrew |
Im in WA....but still curious to know what the process is anyway. And costs.

My impression of getting something engineered is not based so much on the product but the way in which the product is installed. So if your calipers look to be in good condition and they have been fitted in a satisfactory manor there should be no problem. When I had the report done for the front brake kit the engineer dude placed a pressure sensor on the brake pedal and measure retardation verses force applied. I have had 2 engineering reports carried out in the A.C.T. From dodgy memory the 1st was about $800 and the 2nd about $1200.
