A girl driving a manual Honda almost rolls her car back into my car. Captured on cam.

First time this happened to me. Some chick driving a manual honda lets go of the brake and her car starts rolling back. She's rummaging through her car paying no attention so I honk and reverse my car to avoid her from hitting me.

This ever happen to anyone?

I think my mom's done this to many people in her 82 prelude when I was little riding in the back seat. "mom! you're rolling backwards!!"

Saw this first hand in a parking lot. An older lady in a Mini Cooper pulls into a parking spot and stops. I can only imagine it was left in neutral with parking brake off, because after parking it rolls forward and lightly taps the car in front of her nose to nose. She panics, starts the car and backs up. Upon stopping again, she lets out the clutch immediately and stalls the car. I hear the click of parking brake and she comes out to inspect the damage. Nothing really done since it was relatively flat ground and it was license plate frame to license plate frame. But still scary to think if this could happen to my car when I'm not there....

This is actually the main reason I don't want to drive a manual. I just know I'm going to roll back into someone. It might seem like a stupid reason, but it's a pretty big one for me.

Should have got her number so you could teach her to drive a stick correctly ;)

It doesn't even look like there is much of an incline? haha I mean I get a little freaked out when I'm on a steep hill but that's nothing!

I never have. Just pay attention like you should no matter what kind of car you drive and you won't have this happen.

What part of "foot on the brake" is difficult to understand?

If you're gonna accidentally let go of the brakes at a stop light, you're going to roll up in an automatic anyway, so it doesn't really make a difference what transmission you have.
