Full borla Exhaust soon

So I've seen a few threads on the borla header and throwing a code. And everyone just says to tune it.. But won't a tube void my warranty? I'm not looking for performance right now. Just a sound I like until my warranty is up. Then I'll start working on performance. And I've read about getting a spacer for the sensor. Is this a reliable method for getting rid of the code? And let's say I have a code... Does the car go into a "limp" mode? Help a noobie out >_>

Your car will be running leaner than stock with the header, and the stock tune is already lean for emissions and fuel economy. I tried the spacer, it doesn't work. The car WILL eventually throw a check engine light, disable cruise control, and run very rich when it detects the messed up sensor reading. Just get the open flash tablet if you're worried about warranty stuff and flash back to stock if you need to switch back to the factory header. I went with Ecutek with an e-tune from Drift-Office and the car runs worlds better than stock. No more massive dip and a sudden surge of power.

If you're also wondering why people have had their direct injector seals fail, running excessively lean is a recipe for disaster.

Better safe than tick Tick TICK TICK TICK KAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA.

Keep the stock header if you aren't looking for performance. Installing headers isn't just for sound. There's a lot more potential with the header once you add it on and dealing with the negatives like the potential CEL and throwing off readings. Sound is a bonus of the header, but its true design is to work with the intake in tuning the car to run more efficiently with proper air/fuel readings both intake and full exhaust.

They can't detect the flash?

Headers already ordered. It's happening regardless lol I haven't seen the sound I want achieved without the uel headers
