TTCC go-karting championship 2014

This is an idea of how it works.

The championship will be divided into 2 rounds. The first round consists of 3 tracks. At the end of the first round, the top 50% of entrants will proceed to round 2 where there are another 2 tracks.

Positions will be determined on quickest average time. If the venue is unable to provide this then it will be quickest overall lap.

Like in Grand Prix, your position in a race determines the points you earn.
The first 15 positions get points. At the end of the championship the person with the most points wins. Simple. :)

Round 1:
Karting championship opening race - Compu-Kart, Edenvale – 13 April @ 5pm
Karting championship race 2 - Randburg Raceway – 18 May
Karting championship race 3 – Kolonnade mall, Pretoria - 8 June


Round 2:
Karting championship race 4 - Indy Kart, Roodepoort – 13 July
Karting championship race 5 – Xtreme indoor karting, Sunninghill - 17 August

If you cannot attend a race you will be allowed to have someone else race on your behalf.

For those who have missed the first race but still want to enter we will be holding a "catch-up" race for you. So you can still get the points, however there are no medals for the catch-up race.

Entry fees to be paid up-front to TTCC at the next event in cash.

All entrants will sign an entry form accepting the rules and indemnifying the club.

Cost: R480 per person

There will be prizes for the first 3 positions in every race with trophies for the best 3 overall in the championship.

Some rules:
- Should a competitor not be able to attend a race he/she may nominate someone to represent him/her. This is however only allowed for one race. Should the competitor miss any further races they will forfeit any monies paid and will not earn any points for that race.
- Payment is due in full prior to commencement of the first race.
- Entries close on the day of the first race. No late entries will be accepted.
- Any results disputes should be lodged with the organizing committee and will be reviewed. Committee decisions on disputes are final.
- No private karts will be allowed. All karts are to be hired from the respective venues.
- Competitors deemed to be deliberately holding up others or driving recklessly will be penalized. Committee decisions on such cases are final.
- Unsportsman like behaviour will result in a points penalty.
- No refunds allowed.
