Gripfest 6 with PTUNING May 11th NCCAR
 

Join PTUNING staff and customers at a fun day on track. Gripfest is a time trial run in autocross format, standing start timed runs but on a 2 mile road course. Expect 10+ runs! PTUNING will be bringing their TA tC, along with the xA. This is a fun day on the track, it is all for fun and times are just a bonus.

O darn looks like i'm gonna miss this. Car won't be ready by then.

Is it scca classing or something else? I dont think i can compete with powerful cars on such a long flat out track. And $150.

Its a Single Lap Against the Timer so car classing doesn't really matter. No SCCA categories just down to the timers.

Yeap $150 is pretty darn cheap for track events considering most of them are $250+

• 2 mile long 40 feet wide bi-directional serpentine road course with ½ mile straightaway, 11 constant radius corners, large grassy run-off shoulders and minimal barriers
• 7 corner marshal stations
• Vehicle dynamics area of 2 acres (128 feet by 700 feet) attached to main straightaway.
• 2 access roads offer various ingress /egress options for track usage
• Elevation changes from +10 feet to -5 feet
• 2 spectator viewing zones
• 5 PTZ video cameras around track periphery

This event is great for autocrossers looking to stretch their legs. PTUNING will be bringing their shop FRS to make some shakedown runs!

Their are so many long, steady state corners. Last event, a decently set up Miata (normally aspirated ) beat the boosted v8's

PTUNING team and friends participated in GripFest6 this past Sunday. The weather was perfect and the field of participants was a nice mixed of cars. Justin's PTUNING turbo xA took home 2nd fastest time of the event!

Here's a few runs of the PTUNING Turbo FR-S @ Gripfest 6 North Carolina Center for Automotive Research, NCCAR Inc. on 5-11-2014. We were able to dial-in more rear traction by disconnecting the rear swaybar and shave 4+ seconds off our morning session lap times. Lots of spinout. Enjoy.
