Anyone have experiences/stories related to "get outta ticket" license plate frames?

I came across the story below and thought it was interesting:
http://priceonomics.com/can-you-buy-a-license-to-speed/

No way I can afford that kind of "donation" but was just curious if anyone has had a real-life experience with these...:party0030:

I think if you read through the whole story, it is pretty much on point.
The managing partner at the law firm I used to work for, owned a Lamborghini Gallardo superleggera and the Ferrari 599. He had 11-99 Foundation frames on both those cars. I always meant to ask him whether they have done anything for him if he'd ever been pulled over, but I never got around to it. My understanding of it is, if you really paid the big lump of money to the foundation, they would send you not only the license plate frames, but a wallet with a badge inside of it. You would put your drivers license into that special wallet, and if you were ever pulled over you would pull that out and give them the whole wallet to see. As the article noted, there are plenty of fake license plate frames out there for you to buy, the cops aren't looking for that. And this 11-99 frame only impresses the CHP not any local police agencies. So if the CHP catches you on a highway speeding, then perhaps your donation to 11–99 will help get you off the hook without a ticket, just a warning to slow down. If a local police department pulled you over, it is not going to help you. If you were driving drunk, or got into an accident and hurt someone, it is not going to help you. It's not literally a get out of jail free card, it *may* help your chances of getting off in some non-serious situations. If I had the money to burn to donate and do this, would I do it? Absolutely. It's like buying insurance or putting on your seatbelt, it may or may not help you depending on how much of a moron you are. And after all, the money does go to a good cause.

I just donate a few dollars to my local police department and keep the donation sticker on my dash :O !

I am a CHP 11-99 member. Upon membership, in addition to the license plate frame you also get a "badge" and ID card. Showing either the badge or ID card when stopped may get you a little more leniency, and if nothing else, it would make the officer a bit more comfortable (the organization does background checks when joining).

My license frame was stolen many years ago and I haven't bothered getting it replaced. It'll just get taken again.

is its a license to speed..........NO, nothing is

Will it get a wealthy person with a good attitude some courtesy....maybe

Will a wealthy prick that points out their $25k donation in their $300k car get a ticket...FOR SURE...and will they write exactly what rich prick said on the ticket to use in court....oh yea...will they show up in court....100%....just to make a point

Bottom line & this applies to us as well....there is only 1 place safe to drive at the limit...ON THE TRACK....street racing is just ignorant.... Drive the speed limit on the roads (saves fuel) and go all out on the track!!!!!

lol, with all the fakes of these, i've read that it gives LE more of a reason to suspect you for something and pull you over
