Another license plate idea....
Anyone ever try this? Figure the manual one is more than I need and it's CHEAP.

I do like the idea. The remote is the only way to go at $150.00, not cheap. Buy the remote and you won't hate yourself in the morning. I bought the tow hook mount but now I'm really liking this one. Thanks for the link.

Pretty cool.
What do you mean no front plate officer? :D |
Thanks for the link. I like it. I'd like to hear more comments from anyone with experience with it, and, I'd especially love to see a couple of pics.
Alternatively, I was thinking to just sac the thing and take the tickets. Often times, they may let you off of something else (like speeding) and write you for something like this, or a seat belt, etc. At least, that's been my experience. Then again, I've been written for both, as well. But, believe me, it does work. I used to drive around with an out of state, expired inspection sticker, illegal front-side window tint, and no front plate. I got away with it for a while too. Then I got nailed for the $500 combo pack twice and decided to finally take care of it. Lesson learned. |
The only problem with these is that in some states it's actually a bigger fine/ ticket/ penalty to have a license plate that is concealable. Partly for reasons of committing crimes, I'm sure, but also probably for the reason Scooby cited above.
I like it, but check with your local laws before going this route. If cops in your area are known for being "aggressive", you may just do better running no plate and paying the fix-it tickets from time to time. |
