What is ur motor stamped with?

Ranatsu 04-10-2014 01:59 PM

That's probably something to do with building the blocks in batches. So that when they are assembled they can be paired up correctly.

This is just speculation though.

Shit, this is a Yamaha motor?

It is in the die that these blocks are made from. I make blocks for hyundai chevy ford and dodge. I just wanted to see how many cavities that these block are made from and if they are all stamped the same. Btw my block has alot of break outs. Smh quality control dropped the ball on this one.

Yamada is a manufacturer of OEM parts, mostly pumps according to their website.
Apparently Fuji Heavy Industries thinks quite highly of them. http://www.yamada-s.co.jp/english/in...etail.php?id=5

No... but they make pumps. Covers. etc.

The picture is from the front timing chain cover, which covers the oil pump.

... so what do they make?

Someone posted "Yamaha", I corrected the company reference, and now you are here telling me they don't make A nor B nor C.

I really don't care for what Yamada makes, I am just making a note of what the stamping is on the block/cover/whatever piece.

Problem solved: Yamada makes the oil pump for the FA20.

I still dont know if yamada make the oil pump for the fa20 though. I see the pictures but how do we know its from yamada. We make timing covers for alot of manufactures but they also go through other companies as well if u get wat im saying. And the oil pump isnt the timing cover which is where the #1 is stamped. So in all i think were off topic. But can u do me a facor and see if urs is stamped with #1?

xwd 04-10-2014 05:15 PM

My timing belt cover says #1. Yamada is the OEM for oil pumps on other Subaru engines, not sure why this one would be different. AFAIK Fuji Heavy Industries manufacturers most of the engine components including the blocks.
