Does every motor say #1
|
That's probably something to do with building the blocks in batches. So that when they are assembled they can be paired up correctly.
This is just speculation though. |
Shit, this is a Yamaha motor?

Yamada. -alex |
Yamada is a manufacturer of OEM parts, mostly pumps according to their website.
Apparently Fuji Heavy Industries thinks quite highly of them. http://www.yamada-s.co.jp/english/in...etail.php?id=5 |

Someone posted "Yamaha", I corrected the company reference, and now you are here telling me they don't make A nor B nor C. I really don't care for what Yamada makes, I am just making a note of what the stamping is on the block/cover/whatever piece. -alex |

My timing belt cover says #1. Yamada is the OEM for oil pumps on other Subaru engines, not sure why this one would be different. AFAIK Fuji Heavy Industries manufacturers most of the engine components including the blocks.
