Great idea from @chadstyle

I will make a Google Spreadsheet tonight we can all update with:
Station brand
Address
Date
Price per gallon
E content.

This will help us all identify the best and most consistent stations.

HERE IS THE SPREADSHEET

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...FE&usp=sharing

Look at the tabs in the bottom of the document for your State. For an example on how to fill it, look at the FL tab that already has several entries

Also, thanks to @marcoaferrer for the nice E85 pump content calculator!!

Please use it to help spread more information, the more the better :D

Alternatively and thanks to @s2d4 this one can also be used

Thanks man appreciate it.

Just updated the sheet with a 5 gallon test from today. I think one more column that would be helpful would be gallons in tank/ethanol content in tank prior to pumping. I had 1 gallon in the tank of E65 and I pumped 5 Gallons and it rose to E74. I don't have a good equation to figure this out mathematically or I would input it into the spreadsheet too..maybe one of us can figure it out and add it in.

Would be nice if we could calculate, but for that we would need the exact amount of fuel left in the tank.

I added a column for E % before and after.

Agreed..I use Torque to gauge how much is left in the tank but who knows exactly how accurate it is.

I do too!! But have tried running the tank to absolute lowest, literally having gallons of gas inside car for when I run out but end up still having half a gallon on the tank when I get tired of driving around pointlessly. Even after having run 5-10 miles with Torque telling me 0% :mad0260:

E85 Mix Tracker: South FL

Well we can calculate that if you fill up the tank at each fill up. If we know when the tank is full it holds 13 gallons for instance and when we filled the tank the pump says it dispensed 9 gallons we would then know that 4 gallons of what is in the tank has our before e content

Extra effort, but very true.... I'll add columns for it so it can be calculated

marcoaferrer 04-14-2014 02:51 PM

What does the manual say about the capacity of the fuel tank? I can put together a simple online calculator to make it easier I gues

That works for fill ups for sure... Not so much when testing for content like I was yesterday. Once I know what the few local stations are dispensing I will fill up each time after for the most accurate percentage.
