OEM Paint vs PPG/Aftermarket

SOOO... after someone at work hit the door of my car (2014 Whiteout FRS... :paddle:) i need it replaced and painted. They are going to paint the whole r/h side of the car to blend the colour. Now, i have some pretty nasty stone chips on the front and hood that i am going to have done at the same time. I feel that the OEM paint quality is S**T and thought that maybe there so something better like PPG paint or something i could put on the car at the same time to prevent stone chips. Any ideas/comments? :sigh:

Anything is better than the OEM paint.

A 3m Clear Bra on the front bumper and hood will prevent rock chips. I've had mine on my car for 13K miles. My front end has been rock chip-free compared to my front license plate, which is already pitted with chips. Not sure about paint additives that would help you out though.

No paint will help with stone chips. A clear film is your best and only real option for that. As for ppg, I shoot ppg envirobase daily. I like it
