What are people's car goals?

Hi all.

Since I am a little new here, I figure I stir up a little chit chat to get to better know everyone.

Let's do this thread like this. 3 simple parts to the question.

Name:
What's your favorite thing about the FR-S/BRZ?
What are your automotive/car goals? Could be anything. Own a race car? Be featured on a magazine? Drive the 'ring? And why?

I'll go first.

Kevin
Thing I love the most about the BRZ is the exterior styling. Got to say... looks pretty hot.
My goals are: To be competitive in auto-x and to one day get HPDE 4 at NASA. I love to race, but it can be very expensive and time consuming, and I suck at it, but hey... got to start somewhere!

Ian
Love the feeling of a well designed rwd car.
Goal is to not crash

Not crashing is a good goal.

Tim
I love Lamp
My goal is to beat Kevin at any race he participates in.

BigFatFlip 04-09-2014 04:31 PM

Oooo fun!

Bryan
The way it relaxes me on a winding road and the awesome/interesting characters I meet
Goal is to just be a better driver because I know I really suck, while still being able to pay the bills

That won't be hard. My car doesn't even run at the moment... :(

I think Ian and Bryan nailed it on this one.

Plato
Love the balance and confidence that this car conveys on a twisty road.
My goal is to just enjoy the car and the awesome people I meet while driving it.

That's a great reason, too. It sounds cheesey, but good company is good company.

Glenn
Balance and characteristics.
Own as many great unique driving cars in my lifetime as possible. Off to a good start. :)

darkonion, I seem to remember your handle on i-club from a lonnnnnnnnnng while back. My handle was sjice, owned a blue 04 STi and think I may have met you at the local meets. I remember you had an RS, for which you pick n pull'ed a hood with raccoon prints on it!

That's the one. It is an L, and the hood with the raccoon is now just a hood w/o raccoon prints. Had that CF hood recleared.

I used to come out to a lot of the Friday night meets in Milpitas and San Jose.

Scott
The look and style but also the handling and ride.
My main goal is to just enjoy the car. Modifying the style and performance to fit my tastes and needs is a plus :P This is my first real "sports car" but also the first car I've done any modifications too as well. It's a learning experience but also a way to express myself.

Max
Small, light, RWD
Keeping the car spec'd for AutoX CS for now. I lust for more power and a little drop, but dont have the budget currently for STX or SM build out.
