@stockysnail I think the September 8th event is more of a pure track day (similar to the Alfa track days) and there is no formal school offered. That being said, there will likely be experienced drivers at the event to offer instruction to any beginners that want to take advantage of (probably) the cheapest lapping day of the season.

Anyway, I've also signed up and would be down to chip in and share a hotel room the night before. I don't really think I can safely do a track day running on energy drinks alone :bonk:

Added @thehapaone to the ORP list on July 25th. Now you need to register for the September 8th at ORP for only $125 as well!

It's a monday!!! I can't just miss work for track days all the time lol

I might come down for the June TnT if I'm going to be racing that weekend which all depends on how long it takes for the sale of my house to close.

I'd like to see some 86's set down some faster times than my 120hp CRX. Sure.. that might sound easy.

Do it! Let's try to get like five or six 86s on the list before anyone else registers! :D

Any advice on insurance...I am not seeing much information on this, even from Lockton!

stockysnail 05-28-2014 01:16 AM

@Bobby D pick one or more and join the cool kids! ;)

I was not planning to do insurance at ORP, there is plenty of runoff and a distinct lack of things to hit (except other cars)

Hey guys count me in for ORP, love that track! In case you didn't see it there is a link on the Motorsportsreg.com site to buy insurance.

Don't know if you are aware, but NASA has an event at The Ridge June 6 & 7. I'm going to do the Sunday event. Haven't done The Ridge yet but I've heard it's the second best track in the NW.

See you at ORP if not sooner.

Added you to the attendee list. You should join the Sept 8th ORP as well as it's only $125!!!

I'd like to do that one, but I've got a potential scheduling conflict that I must get worked out. It's definitely on my list.

@stockysnail - Due to too much stuff going on in June and early July I dropped out of the June 26th event.

I signed up for the OPR Team Continental event at the end of July. We should all try and stay at the same hotel somewhere out there. I don't want to drive 2 hours then race for 6-8 hours and then drive 2 hours.
@glamcem - it's not an ORP club event but it would be cool to see you at this ORP day. It's counterclockwise :)

I'm trying to get time off to come up for the track day/school on the 25/26 June. I have a place I ca n stay at that is 20 mins from the track instead of 2.5 hours.

I love that track both CW and CCW, we can talk about it :)
I will provide some videos and data after the June 15th event..

FYI, there will be 3 day events if I am not mistaken June 13th-15th and I will be there on Sunday :) come join me

Updated participants list. Don't forget to register. The only one that will charge you now is the Sept 8th $125 special ORP track day. All others will not charge your account until the day of the race.

stockysnail 06-10-2014 02:55 AM

For the July 25th and September 8th ORP track days, I'll get a room with 2 queen beds. The room will cost me about $100 so however many people stay in the room should try to evenly split the room bill. Rollaway beds can be purchased for $10 if we get a large group in a room and anyone wants their own bed. Sleeping bags work too if you prefer and the beds are full.

If someone wants to get a room now for people that would be great as I don't have $ to get one at the moment but will later. Just go to the Motorsportreg website for that event and hotels are listed on the right. Super 8 seems to be in the best location (next to Fred Meyer) and also has the highest rating of the cheap hotels.
