The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

Anyone catch last weeks (4/1) Top Gear? Hammond test drove the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento (6th Element) which is carbon and what almost the entire car is made of. Weighs less than a Ford Fiesta, 0-60 in 2.5 seconds (same as a Veyron), 570 hp, V-10, awd. Very minimal interior.

A meager 1.95 million pounds ($2.2 mil US)

Wicked looking car.

Dear Santa...

Was lucky enough to see the unveiling of it at Newport Lamborghini. It is... RIDICULOUS.

Track-only

A rare Lamborghini Sesto Elemento with only delivery mileage is up for grabs at an exorbitant price tag.

One of the only 20 cars produced, Lamborghini's Sixth Element is certainly one of the most desirable track-only vehicles ever made not only because of its radical design, but also due to its astonishingly low weight of just 999 kg (2,202 lbs). It's powered by the familiar V10 5.2-liter normally aspirated engine which in this application delivers 570 PS (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque.

With so much power in such a light package, it's no wonder the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint takes just two and a half seconds while top speed stands at more than 186 mph (300 km/h). This is one of the fastest accelerating cars in the world and according to the ad this particular unit is the only one for sale in the world.

Lamborghini asked almost €2 million for the Sesto Elemento, but this seller wants €3 million for his unused car. We won't be too surprised if the future owner won't drive it at all and in a few years will decide to sell it for more.

Ultra-Rare Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Hits The Streets

Ever since Lamborghini confirmed that the Sesto Elemento would reach the production line in 2011, the supercar has remained notoriously hard to see in the flesh.

Unlike the Lamborghini Veneno and Reventon which are occasionally seen on the streets, the 20 units of the Sesto Elemento are are limited to private track use.

However, this little "detail" didn't dissuade one owner from taking the car out onto the streets in the Middle East. It wouldn't be a hyperbole to claim that this $3 million marvel makes the Aventador look almost ordinary.

There's not much to say about the engine, which is a 5.2-liter V10 engine from the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. But thanks to its carbon fiber construction it weighs just 999 kg, thus it is much faster, hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in a mere 2.5 seconds.

The cabin is outlandish, too, with custom carbon fiber composite throughout, a fully digital gauge cluster - why, it doesn't even have real seats, making do with pieces of foam stuck to the carbon tub.
