DO NOT BUY FROM FA20CLUB

yea so basically i am fed up with fa20club. if you are thinking about going with them for your forced induction needs, go elsewhere if your from out of state. back in late december i ordered my turbo kit from them after all the great thing i heard about toni and his customer service . i ordered everything over phone and went into detail about my plans for my car and was very pleased after the conversation ended. Well it is now april 07 and i still have not recieved all my parts. in fact my turbo and intercooler only came in about a month ago . they told me they were going to ship it out the week after i placed my order , 3 months have still passed and i still have not gotten anything. even getting a tracking number was a hassel. they kept telling me things shipped weeks ago and no more info after that , then with they would send me with tracking number it showed that it was dropped off at ups that same day. in total i probably recieved 9 different packaged with an excuse to why it was late tied to almost each one. getting on the phone with them was also an obstacle until they completely blocked me . i also switched something in my order and was supposed to get refunded the money back and that still didnt happen even though toni keeps insisting he sent it . i am fed up with this half assed shop and wanted a complete refund so i dont have to deal with them again and wont have any of my money that i worked hard for( 8 grand which was taken out of my bank account the same week i ordered ) in there pockets. I am honestly let down by this shop, i thought i was getting a partner to build my car with , instead i got people i need to chase down for parts i paid for . and what makes it worse is that i live in nj so i cant even go down there and talk to them , instead i get my number blocked, instagram and facebook messages deleted and emails never returned as if i was not a paying customer . i know there are people that have had great experiences with toni but i am here just to inform people on the other side of this shop .

why do people keep ordering from him? there are so many threads about how he's screwed people over.

Frs300 04-07-2014 06:01 PM

No idea but i wish i could put an end to it.

you might be able to do a charge back through the bank as well

yetiFR-S 04-07-2014 06:23 PM

i will contact them tommorrow , have you heard of any success with that ?

Model Citizen 04-07-2014 06:24 PM

My advice would be to never buy anything online directly from a bank account ever.

yetiFR-S 04-07-2014 06:27 PM

haha didnt even realize i was , i ordered through the phone. i was getting a sense of him being a con artist , could have sworn i smelt the bullshit coming out of his mouth all the way in nj .

So. You didn't realize you were on the phone giving him your bank info instead of cc, felt sketched, and still did it?

Is that right?

dbrandt01 04-07-2014 09:04 PM

I'm glad I saw all of this. I used to look at their site and glad it felt weird so I never did it.

I just don't understand, you said in the first post "very pleased after the conversation ended" then you just said "i was getting a sense of him being a con artist , could have sworn i smelt the bullshit coming out of his mouth all the way in nj ." Best of luck though with doing the charge back or the call to the bank tomorrow.

For many months there was nothing but praise on these forums about how great and responsive FA20Club was and then all of a sudden it took a 180. I too unfortunately bought a tune right before the real reviews started flowing in and it took me roughly 2 weeks for an ECUTek cable to get shipped and then another week to actually get a canned map via email and then I couldn't get a follow up after I sent back logs.

Also, the scheduling tool is bullshit. It took several days after I got my cable and asked multiple times for a link to the scheduling tool to get one and then after I scheduled an appointment all I got was an email with the canned stage 1 tune. I doubt my logs were ever even looked at.

FR-S Matt 04-08-2014 01:15 PM

Spent $800 from FT-86 Speedfactory for a Stage 2 tune from FA20club. This was early on before they changed to their "calendar" system. I received a whopping 3 revisions to my tune as my parts changed. After that, I could not get a hold of Toni at all. I scheduled time, I submitted logs to both their log address and directly to Toni. The last email I got from Toni said:

"I'm tuning cars locally today so responses will be heavily delayed"

Which means, fuck you, I'm getting money for newer customers and not past ones. 0 response from him after that and my logs. Needless to say, I have someone else tuning my car FULLY now. He didn't even really tune my car much at all.

I don't think BB code works in thread titles.

I clicked on your sig link thinking it was something to do with FA20club. It was so much better and than some. Thank you, I laughed for hours, pure internet Gold!!

OrangeJuleas 06-05-2014 03:12 AM

I was another one of the people that received a tune, an update and then...nothing. I paid less for the tune because I was getting the EcuTek cable from someone else who had paid for a tune, so I'm not totally upset. But when I sent the second log back in for adjustment (because I upgraded to Borla headers and needed an adjustment that he said he would give), all I received was a link to the scheduling page.

I scheduled an appointment and got nothing. I was a little upset, but these kinds of things happen and I won't hold it against him. Not that I would buy another FA20Club product, but live and let live. I did technically receive what I paid for, so I'm definitely in the middle of the road here.

Sorry to see so many other people having bigger problems. I wish you all the best - people should at a minimum be treated with respect whether they are a past customer or a future one. :iono:

sosick 06-24-2014 04:45 AM

I see lots of shops advertising tr2 kits now at 1300 more then their usual 3500 price tag. Its hard to remember that fa20club and tr2 are the same damn company

King Tut 06-24-2014 10:28 AM

What shops and it should be TR3 not TR2?

sosick 06-24-2014 12:14 PM

Wait so wats the difference on tr2 n tr3? Fa20club fucked so much shit up that everytime i look at new kits i have to check if its their kits or not. Siking me out

Where are you seeing TR2?

Nightbringer 06-28-2014 01:15 PM

Ordered a CAI two months ago and still haven't received. 6 voicemails and 2 emails. Zero responses. Should've checked the reviews first. They had a stellar reputation a year and change ago. :\

I know a guy that had an FA20Club intake that he couldn't give away that might still have it if you still really want one. @Hawaiian

True story. I tried to give it to a friend and he said no thanks.

Nightbringer 07-02-2014 09:06 PM

Haha awesome. Is the intake itself that shoddy, or just the stigma from horrific customer service?

Both. The welds are piss poor, the alignment of the pipes are off, and the "thermal coating" looks like spray paint. Other than that it's perfect.

I believe the welds were shitty and the MAF was poorly located. You probably won't make any power with it, so just avoid it.

King Tut 07-02-2014 10:01 PM

Haha, simultaneous posting.

Nightbringer 07-03-2014 04:11 PM

Waiting two months just to find out the intake is garbage anyways is doubly heartbreaking. This'll teach me to walk away from the forum for half a year before purchasing toys.

If you're really unable to flip it, I'd still buy it off of you for the sake of mockup/fab parts. *shrug*
