Almost a year ago, I pulled the trigger on my car. Its a 2013 FR-S 6MT, I got it used with ~3,800 kms (~2350mi). I had forgotten about the twins, and was looking into other cars like Camaros, Mustangs, STI and even an S5. I saw an ad on autotrader and thought I'd have a look at it. I went for a test drive and enjoyed every minute of it. I was barely 20 at the time so I decided to commit to RWD with "only" 200hp before getting a car with double that and killing myself or someone else. I haven't looked back since, sure other cars are quicker, but really this is more than enough on the street. I wanted a car that could progress as I did and I'd rather have a fun car than a fast car. \So I wanted to enjoy the car the way it came for a while before I started to modify. Life happened and stuff came up though and it got put off a little longer than I wanted. I just got it back out from storage a couple weeks ago and am finally starting my journey at 29,000kms.
Attachment 73368 Here she is, just after I got it Attachment 73371 With the boss' RX-8 I've ordered a FT86SF UEL Catted header, and got my wheels and tires. TSW Nurburgring 17x8 +35 with 225/45R17 MPSS. The car definitely sticks better now, I used to be able to chirp 3rd on the Primacys, and now I can hardly get it to chirp 2nd. It's hard to get the back end to slide now, if it starts to slide on sand, the second it reaches the pavement it just catches and stops. Attachment 73372 Needs some low and camber.... |
