MR-S Effect...

Anyone else have the nagging phobia that Canada won't be considered a viable enough market to get this car?

It happened before with the MR-Spyder...

Not something to kid about. We didn't get the MR-S, a similar purposed car. Thankfully the big difference now is that the Celica is dead, so they may think they need a 'cute' coupe to sell to chicks. I really hope marketing douchebags don't wreck this thing.

(What can I say, I'm a pessimist...)

Canada will get it. It's got too much sales potential for it not to. The MR-S was a niche car that should have come over (that was a dumb move, Toyota), but definitely does not have the broad appeal that the FT most definitely will have.

We didn't get Scion either, and (for some strange reason) Toyota thought that it was marketing genius.

I'm pretty sure toyota canada is going to see a sports coupe in its line up especially, when the hyundai genesis coupe and nissan altima coupe are both selling very well; I can assume toyota will come through with a competing model.

Do you mean we didn't get Scion out of the gate? Cause' ive seen many and more Tc's and Xb's and Zg's or whatever.

Who cares if we don't get them, it'll be cheaper to go down to the states to buy one anyway :)

It's coming. Don't worry :)
