Steering rack
 

Has anyone taken one apart or taken any measurements of its range yet?

I realise I can just take the tie rods out and find out for myself, and I probably will; but interested to know the answer now Lol

What are you trying to find out?

How far the rack can actually go before it runs out of teeth.

Gotcha. By chance, do you know what the thread pitch is for the inner tie rods/steering rack?

I might have found a solution to help get some extra steering angle without having to dish out loads of money for a full knuckle kit. Nothing crazy. Just enough.

Theres already tie rods for sale that'll give you enough lock to be rubbing the inside.

Next step is increasing track to allow for more angle before that rubbing occurs.

Between the two, it would be an awesome gain. Not knuckle kit crazy, but enough for any of our needs as grassroots level drivers.

I have 15mm spacers up front right now at -3 camber and I'm dead flush. With more steering angle, I'll space out another 10mm and go to like -3.5

Tie rods alone will have you rubbing the inner guard and swaybar.

Need to increase track.

That said, tie rods alone to give a decent increase.
