Namdoog's Super Mild BRZ Daily/Drifter
What's up everyone. After owning my car for a year it's about time I put this little journal together.
I first fell in love with the car when I was at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2012. I used to work for a major performance parts manufacturer, and I was fortunate enough to be exhibiting with them at TAS the year the 86 was going to make its debut. I met a couple engineers from Toyota at the show and was totally hooked from there after what they told me about the car. http://i62.tinypic.com/27xdtj.jpg After jumping from a 350Z Track to a 5 series to an AP2 S2000, I wanted something I could drift again when I felt like it. One of my best friends competed in Formula D among other series' for years and I missed going out and sliding around. Fast forward to March 2013 and I finally pulled the trigger on a Crystal Black Silica BRZ Premium. http://i62.tinypic.com/2rppcol.jpg 2,000 miles later I took her to East Coast Bash at E-town and had a ton of fun in stock form. Wish I ran more front camber so I had more grip but c'est la vie, I was really impressed with what it could do right out of the box. http://i60.tinypic.com/2med6pf.jpg I kept it mostly stock the first year I had it. Threw my blizzaks on a set of MB Weapons I picked up cheap - car f*cking rocked in the snow this year. http://i62.tinypic.com/11b5hn9.jpg Only took my real camera out once to shoot it in the snow in my driveway, but once the next round of mods is done I'll give it the proper treatment. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7407/...9d833328_z.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3758/...2cdd053b_z.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7414/...1b7d7e4d_z.jpg Current mods: Mishimoto Intake Hose K&N High Flow Filter Grimmspeed Brake Master Cylinder Brace Bronze MB Weapons 17x7 Alpine 927HD head unit I just ordered up CS style front lip and sides (got the cheapos because I'm just gonna trash them on the terrible PA streets anyway) and a ModBargains duckbill spoiler. Tein Springs coming for the time being and when I get back on the track (not til next season sadly) I'll add proper coilovers and do the suspension right. Pics to come once the next round of mods is done! |
Officially dropped on Tein S-Tech springs. Perfect height for a daily driver on pothole ridden roads IMO. Really improved feel and not too harsh or bouncy. Bodywork next!

Once Mishimoto's intake is out I'll be running that, then I'm not sure. I want to do headers and a tune but the $ to performance ratio isn't great. For 2-3x the money I could just save up and boost the thing haha. |

I like the wheels and like the price even more haha you know if they are worth it? I know you usually get what you pay for that's why im asking...

Wheels I got used so they were $300 with tires haha even if they break I won't care. I cracked two 350z rays track wheels so I don't buy into spending more on wheels as much unless it's a really serious track car. |

Bodywork is done, here are a couple shots from my driveway, I'm gonna try to shoot it properly next week.

Nice man pretty much going the same route with my BRZ. Hope to see you out at ECB this month.
